In the 1950s, more and more technological products generated magnetic fields that affected the precision of watches. Inevitably, engineers worked in areas subject to magnetic fields. To improve the resistance to magnetic fields, IWC designed men’s copy IWC Ingenieur watches specially for engineers.
There are lots of Ingenieur models, but most of them have a common trait. In fact, they are characterised by prominent screws or bores on the bezel, just as the black dials fake IWC watches on the picture above show.
Inspired by a diver’s helmet, Gérald Genta created the classic Ingenieur SL in 1976, which highlighted the screws and bores on the bezel. Revolutionary and striking, this design has become a typical feature of Ingenieur watches, including black straps replica watches on the picture below.
